Debit Cards Booming
Utilization of Debit Cards is increasing at phenominal rates around the world. Last year Debit Card transactions in Canada exceeded Credit Card transactions and with growth rates in excess of 400%, the United States is not far behind. In the US, 43 million people do not have conventional banking relationships and do not qualify for conventional credit cards. Around the world 90% of the population is in the same category. This shuts them out from being able to perform transactions such as renting a car, renting a hotel room or making a purchase on the internet.
Where there is a problem, free enterprise will generally come up with a solution and this situation is certainly no exception to the rule.
Now entering the Marketplace are multiple private label Debit Cards, such as the PSCA, Inc. PowerCheque Card, offering guaranteed acceptance with No Credit Check, No Interest and No Limits.
With a one time fee of just $ 9.95 and no annual fee, this card opens access to all forms of electronic transactions from ordinary purchases at retail merchants, both storefront and online, to international cash transfers. Sending money to children at college or to family around the world becomes as easy as a phone call and an ATM transaction.
Consumers are not the only beneficiaries of these cards either. Merchants are also benefiting in many ways. Research has shown that merchants who place ATM machines in their stores retain as much as 70% of the cash withdrawn in the form of retail purchases made at the time of the withdrawal. With the PowerCheque card, the merchant distributor becomes a Virtual ATM location without the need to purchase any expensive equipment. Our system utilizes the merchant's existing POS terminals.
